Dr. Goldstein’s passion for animals began almost as early as she can remember. By the age of two, she already knew she wanted to become a veterinarian, and that lifelong love for animals has shaped every step of her career. She earned her veterinary degree from St. George's University and has dedicated herself to providing compassionate, thorough, and exceptional care to every patient she meets.
Following veterinary school, Dr. Goldstein completed a highly competitive one-year rotating postgraduate internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of Long Island. This intensive program provided advanced training under the mentorship of board-certified specialists across multiple disciplines, with a strong emphasis on emergency medicine and critical care. During the internship, she worked alongside specialists in internal medicine, surgery, oncology, dermatology, neurology, dentistry, and exotic animal medicine, while also managing demanding overnight emergency shifts independently. Her dedication, clinical skills, and tireless work ethic earned her the distinguished honor of “Intern of the Year.”
Dr. Goldstein has a special passion for surgery, internal medicine, and emergency medicine, and she particularly enjoys complex surgical procedures such as splenectomies. What she values most, however, is the lasting bond she builds with both pets and their families. She loves watching puppies grow through every stage of life and cherishes the moment a longtime patient recognizes her the second she walks into the exam room.
Her approach to veterinary medicine is rooted in compassion, communication, and collaboration. Dr. Goldstein believes in listening closely to her clients, thoroughly explaining diagnostics and treatment options, and working together to create the best possible care plan for each individual pet. She is known for going above and beyond for her patients, often checking in with families on her days off and making herself available whenever a pet needs extra attention or support. She believes excellent veterinary care means providing gold-standard medicine while also respecting each family’s goals, comfort level, and unique circumstances.
One topic she is especially passionate about is nutrition education. She hopes more pet owners understand that strong marketing does not always equal balanced, high-quality nutrition, and she enjoys helping families make informed decisions about their pets’ diets and overall health.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Goldstein stays busy with her wonderful family, including her husband, three children, and four beloved dogs. Brooke, her 10-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, rules the house and loves playing soccer with her son. Frankie, a gentle 110-pound Italian Mastiff mix, is happiest spending most of the day napping and greeting everyone with his signature tail wag. Greta, a young mixed breed full of energy and personality, loves running with her husband, while Junior, the newest addition to the family, reminds her every day of her beloved heart dog, Max.
When she is not caring for patients, Dr. Goldstein enjoys Pilates, hiking with her dogs, attending her son’s soccer games, and spending time walking through town with her children and pets. She thrives in busy environments and jokes that according to her husband, she never sits still for long.
What Dr. Goldstein loves most about being part of the team at Quarry Ridge Animal Hospital is the collaborative atmosphere among the doctors and staff. Her favorite part of every day is simply seeing her patients and clients and being able to help the pets who mean so much to their families.
She would like every client to know how deeply grateful she is for the trust they place in her:
“Thank you for trusting me to care for a beloved member of your family. I promise I will treat them like my own.”
